Welcome to the McKinney Quilters Guild

The McKinney Quilters Guild exists to bring together people who share a love of quilts and quilting. Together we learn from national and local quilt teachers and speakers and share our work with each other and the community. All levels of quilters are encouraged to join us.

We meet on the third Tuesday of the month at the First Christian Church at 1800 W. Hunt Street in McKinney, Texas.

November 18th

Julie Cohagen presents "The Magic of Disappearing Blocks"

Start with a simple, familiar design like a four patch, hourglass or pinwheel. With a few strategic cuts and rotations and rearrangements, they transform into intricate, unexpected magical patterns. Like a magician's sleight of hand, the original block vanishes and is replaced by something completely new. If you can make half square triangles and put together a nine patch you can create the magic yourself.

This is fast and easy but looks like you spent hours making these gorgeous blocks!

PLEASE NOTE: We will be meeting in the church sanctuary for this meeting only. Please park on the west side of the church.
